Advocacy

SfRBM is a current member of the Federation of American Societies 
for
 Experimental Biology (FASEB)an organization that advances health
and well-being by promoting research and education in biological and biomedical sciences through collaborative advocacy and service to our societies and their members. 

SfRBM has participated in FASEB since 2014 and utilizes our partnership to help advocate for increases in science funding as well as promote the advancement of redox biology research and applications to improve human health.

SfRBM has several representatives that participate in FASEB leadership positions.

  • Eric Kelley, West Virginia University - FASEB President (2025-2026)
  • Maria Clara Franco, Florida International University – FASEB Board Director (2025-2029)
  • Patrick Pagano, University of Pittsburgh – FASEB Science Policy Committee (2025-2027)
