A full-time, FAPESP-funded postdoctoral position is available at the laboratory of Biochemistry of Oxidants and Radicals in the Chemistry Institute USP, to investigate protein crosslinks produced by oxidative processes in vitro and in biological samples by the use mass-spectrometry-based approaches and bioinformatic tools among other techniques. The relevance of these crosslinks in protein dysfunction, oligomerization and aggregation will also be investigated. The project will be developed in the highly collaborative environment of the RIDC Redoxoma that possesses modern instrumentation and facilities (http://redoxoma.iq.usp.br/). The candidate must have a doctorate in the area of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and related fields, for less than six years. Prior experience with bioinformatic tools to analyze LC-MS/MS proteomic data is required and proved by previous publications in peer-reviewed journals. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
