The Redox Biology and Pathology Program in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine seeks a junior faculty member for a full time faculty appointment on the tenure track pathway at the Assistant Professor level. Major areas of interest are the importance of redox signaling and perturbations in chronic lung disease and in tumorigenesis and lung disease with a specific emphasis on mitochondrial biology and dysfunction and development of redox-dependent therapeutic approaches in cancer and lung disease. Applicants must have an MD, Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D., and the candidate should have specific training, experience and publications relevant to these research areas. The successful candidate will have an active track record of extramural research support, and will be expected to develop and maintain an extramurally supported research program, collaborate with investigators in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Vermont Lung Center and other Institutes, participate in departmental activities, and contribute to graduate and undergraduate research education.
