Research Center on Redox Processes in Biomedicine – Redoxoma (http://redoxoma.iq.usp.br/), based at the Chemistry Institute of the University of São Paulo, offers a post-doctoral position at the Modified Lipid Research Laboratory (https://sites.usp.br/miyamoto/).
Successful candidates will work on a project with the objective of identifying and selecting compounds that inhibit / modulate enzymes involved in the metabolism of oxidized lipids.
The candidate must have a doctorate in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related fields, completed in the last 7 years, with an excellent academic record and multidisciplinary scientific background. Must have experience in computational tools (molecular modeling, virtual screening) and enzymatic assays, attested by publications in specialized journals (preferably as first author). Previous experience in recombinant protein production, redox mechanisms, and analysis of protein modification and aggregation is desirable.

This position is open to Brazilians and foreigners. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral Scholarship in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 per month and a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual scholarship amount to cover unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activity.
