Dr. Chris Kevil has been named as the new Co-Editor in Chief of Redox Biology, replacing Dr. Victor Darley-Usmar who stepped down after 5 years of leading the editorial team. SfRBM would like to thank Dr. Darley-Usmar for his efforts in spearheading the creation of this publication and his tireless energy and effort to make it the success that it is today.
Dr. Kevil is Professor of Pathology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Director of the Center for Cardiovascular Disease and Sciences and Director of the Division of Research in the Department of Pathology and Translational Biology at Louisiana State University (LSU) Health Sciences Center. He has been an active member of the Society for many years beginning as a student at LSUHSC and then a postdoctoral fellow at UAB, and was a previous SFRBM Young Investigator Award recipient. Throughout his career, Dr. Kevil has strongly supported the SfRBM in numerous ways through service with meeting organization and as a member of the Outreach, Young Investigator Award and Publications Committees. He has also been a Council member, FRBM Editorial Board member and recently served as SfRBM Vice President.
SfRBM looks forward to working with Dr. Kevil to continue furthering the evolution of Redox Biology.
