Program Overview

In this webinar, you will explore the most common ethical pitfalls that even well-intentioned researchers encounter in scientific writing and publishing, with a particular focus on the growing role of generative AI.

Drawing on real examples, issues highlighted include authorship, conflicts of interest, plagiarism, and the misuse of AI tools, showing how these can unintentionally compromise research integrity if not properly managed. Participants will gain a clear understanding of current expectations and policies around responsible AI use, including the importance of transparency, human oversight, and disclosure.

By the end of the session, attendees will be better equipped to identify ethical risks, apply best practices in their own work, and use AI tools responsibly to support their own research writing in scholarly publishing.
