Abstract, Oral Presentation & Poster Session Information

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Online abstract submission for SfRBM 2018 will open in May 2018.

The deadline for submitting abstracts for SfRBM 2018 is Saturday, September 1, 2018. Please note abstracts submitted for SfRBM 2018 must be previously unpublished work. Abstracts that are submitted for oral presentation consideration will be subject to a double-blind review process. Presenting authors of the highest scored abstracts will be invited to share their work in one of 45 oral presentation slots on the program. All other abstracts will be programmed as a poster to be presented on one day of SfRBM 2018's three-day poster symposia. The results of this process will be posted on the SfRBM site no later than October 15, 2018.

Abstracts must be no longer than 300 words.  Should your abstract exceed this size, you will be prompted with a message to resubmit an edited version.

All submitted abstracts will be published in the meeting's program and abstract book. If you wish for an abstract to be considered for a Travel Award, abstracts must be received by Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Submission deadline to be considered for a Young Investigator Award is Saturday, September 1, 2018. Please mark the appropriate box on the online abstract submission form.
 

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

2:30 pm - 4:15 pm | November 15 - 17, 2018

A number of high-quality abstracts are chosen from those submitted to the Society for primary authors to give 20-minute oral presentations of their research. Three concurrent sessions will be structured around basic topic areas and will feature 45 speakers.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

4:15 pm - 6:45 pm | November 15 - 17, 2018

During each day of these three-day sessions, posters will be on display from 9:00 am - 9:00 pm and can be viewed at any time during this period. Each day, two and half hours of formal presentation time (4:15 pm - 6:45 pm) is scheduled for authors to be available to discuss their work with other attendees. Poster boards for display of abstracts will be 4 feet (122 cm) high x 8 feet (244 cm) long for greater display area (click here for an example).
